The Client
My client is a global powerhouse in industry, energy, healthcare and infrastructure solutions. The client is a key figure in the UK power transmission and distribution market. Its portfolio covers the whole spectrum of applications to design, finance, build, operate and maintain a modern smart grid and power distribution systems.
The Role:
This impressive client requires a number of substation wireman for various projects across the country. All the projects involve the wiring of transformers on National grid substations.
The client is looking for a total of nine substation wireman with transformer experience. The wireman would be working alongside the permanent team of the client.
They currently have a requirement for competent and experienced wiremen with NG Person training and any relevant certification, we have >90 multicores to cut / pull / gland / ferrule / crimp / terminate both ends, on each SGT Transformer unit.
The requirements for each site is as follows
1 x Experienced Wireman in NG Willesden / London – Monday 19/07 for 2 weeks
2 x Experienced Wireman in NG Rochdale / Manchester – Monday 19/07 for 1-2 weeks
3 x Experienced Wireman in NG Stella West / Newcastle – Monday 26/07 for 2-3 weeks
3 x Experienced Fitter in NG Trawsfynydd / North West Wales – Monday 26/7 for 2-3 weeks
There is plenty of weekend work available on all of the projects!
Requirements:
National Grid authorisations and experience are absolute pre-requisites for this role, the successful Substation Wireman must hold BESC & Person and have relevant experience on National Grid projects.

Compensation Details
These roles have been deemed Inside IR35, and therefore will be paid on a direct PAYE basis through the agency.
Monday – Friday 1st 37 Hours
£24.50 per hour
After 37 Hours & 1st 4 Hours Saturday
£25.50 per hour
After 4 Hours Saturday & Sunday
£28.00 per hour
Holiday pay will be accrued in addition to the hourly rate. This is paid on request when holiday is taken, or at the end of the assignment.
