The Transport Operations Assistant will be working for a well-established local company who are recognised as award-winning market leaders within their sector.
Hours of work: 8.30am – 5pm Mon – Fri
Working onsite, the Transport Operations Assistant will coordinate the day to day planning and efficient and effective routing of work for the fleet to complete all required work. The role will liaise with customers to understand and manage their contract requirements and whilst managing all day to day issues that arise and finding solutions. In addition, the role will liaise as first point of contact for drivers for queries and holiday booking as well processing all required documentation, site reception, enquires and general office duties.
The successful candidate will have recent experience of working within a fast-paced transport operations, having undertaken planning or routing vehicles and have an up to date knowledge of all driver requirements. With excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will be able to work in a team and organise/prioritise workload to meet deadlines and demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
