Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision Wrexham

Contract Full Time

The Educate Group would love to hear from Teaching Assistants (Level 1 to 3) interested in joining their existing and successful team within our highly successful Alternative Provision in Wrexham.

This particular position would suit a passionate and creative Teaching Assistant who thrives on working in a challenging yet rewarding environment. It is important that you have the natural ability and flair to engage and motivate your learners, helping them achieve success through your industry experience and support. Training is available for a suitable candidate who may lack a formal Teaching Assistant qualification but can demonstrate the qualities essential for this role.

What will I be expected to do?

Lead by example and have high expectations in terms of attainment, progress and welfare
Inspire and motivate pupils to engage in their own learning and achievement
Promote and encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own actions and behaviour
Outline clear targets, building on prior attainment

What qualifications and experience do I need for this role?

TA Qualification or equivelent – Training available for the right candidate if such a qualification has not been obtained. 
Clear and Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to obtain one.
Registration with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) – (only applies in Wales)
Recent experience in a classroom setting or in Youth work.
We welcome interest from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs)
