The Role involves
Generating customer specifications and pack copies for respective customer accounts inline with NPD’s critical path.
Keeping customer specification systems (example: Evolve, Mcreate, Core etc..) upto date. This includes site contact details, BRC audits, Alert responses, Delisted products moved from an active status, all “live” products to have an active specification.
Use up to date raw material specifications for spec population – using the raw material controller and / or the approved supplier list (ASL) as a point of contact for any concerns or a check on revision status.
Artwork generation, coordination and legal label sign-off.
Ensure any marketing label “claims” are substantiated with evidence, (identity preserved raw’s, health claims etc..).
Liaison with packaging sign off.
Compliance to retail COP’s – nutritional policy, allergn policy, sustainable palm / cocoa policy / allergen policy re: alibi labelling etc, and also their additivites policy in particular.
HARA population (JS), if not directly accountable support maybe offered.
TSA population (JS), if not directly accountable support maybe offered.
Populating the nutrirional data base / average nutritional calculations and NutriCalc.
Attendance to NPD meetings.
Bar Code Generation / send samples to customers as required (liase with QA dept. for bar code generation support).
HACCP Team Member.
Ad-Hoc support with QAS generation if the need arises (to “get the job done”).
Customer comm’s – primary contact for specification related issue’s. Escalate where further support is required.
Support with ad-hoc project work.
Gate keeper of shelf life for respective projects.
Awareness of the SEDEX system (how to retrive ethical ststus, supplier site codes etc..)
Educated to degree level preferred.
High level of accuracy
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a similar – retail demanding role.
Food industry experience essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent administrative skills
Computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office
Food Hygiene | HACCP Qualified
Conversant with retailer Codes of Practice and Policies desirable – Tesco, Sainsbury’s, CO-OP, Aldi, Asda, Morrisons, Iceland, Lidl, Bidfood, Ocado and Premier / would be an advantage
