In the Assessing Social Worker role you will be:
Preparing and assessing Connected Persons and prospective guardians in accordance to the Legislative requirements and departmental policies.
Provide evidence in court regarding Connected Persons and where necessary deliver written and verbal presentations to Fostering panel.
Ensuring the well-being and safety of the child or young person is paramount through analysing all necessary information to complete assessments that comply with statutory requirements.
Complete full Fostering Network assessments on prospective foster carers and to review the progress of assessment frequently to maintain effective deadlines.
To be successful in the Assessing Social Worker job you will need to have:
Recognised Social Worker qualification and registered with the Care Council.
3 years post qualifying experience including work within a statutory social work setting with children and families.
Experience of statutory Special guardians and Connected Person carers.
Current valid driving licence and ability to travel within the geographical work area as required.
This is a temporary position for the period of approximately 12 weeks, working 37 hours per week (Monday-Friday). The role will be predominately home based, with occasional office days located in Colwyn Bay. This role is on a salary of £22.00 per hour plus holiday pay.
