The numbers of children being taking into care are increasing year by year and the Pandemic has seen a huge increase. Your skillsets are required more than ever. You will be joining a skilled team of professionals from Support Workers to Therapists, supporting 3 young people within a residential service. This homely residential service cares for children who need support with Social, Emotional and Mental Health. Based in the beautiful countryside close to Buckley, Flintshire. The children and young people will be between the ages of 8-18.
The young people may have experienced trauma in their past relating to neglect or abuse and so someone with an open mind and compassionate nature if required. We are looking for someone enthusiastic and able build a rapport and engage the young people in activities to help them have fun as well as building independence skills. We are looking for someone to be their role model and a significant adults in their life who is able to offer consistency.
We offer support around all aspects of the young people's lives including social, emotional and educational. Your role will be to help create and maintain a stable and happy environment for them to grow. Supporting the children and young people throughout their day, providing guidance and support with emotional, lifestyle and social aspects of their lives.

Salary between £23,000 – £24,500 dependent on experience Requirements:
Understanding and awareness of Child Protection issues, guidelines and procedures in line with CIW
Must hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People Workforce or relevant equivalent
Must be a Driver with a full UK driving licence
Ideally have 6 months minimum experience working with children in a residential setting
Senior or Supervisory experience preferred
Excellent understanding of clear boundaries
Flexibility to work shifts on a 2 on 4 off basis and Sleep In’s required
