Residential Care Worker – Wrexham

Full Time Temporary

Are you a qualified Residential Support Worker with a background in childcare?

The Educate Group transform the experiences, expectations, and outcomes for young people across the whole of North Wales through their network of experienced Residential Support Workers. You will be committed to helping all young people achieve the best possible outcomes; whether that be on a short or long-term basis. Your role will be centred around providing young people with positive experiences, meeting achievable challenges and progress towards positive futures.

We have flexible opportunities in homes across the county of Wrexham that operate using a flexible shift pattern, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins

What will I be expected to do?

You will be responsible for promoting and encouraging young people to participate in activities that involve them making correct decisions and achieving positive outcomes. You will provide and maintain support that encourages and promotes independence and well-being in a safe environment. As part of your role, you will also be responsible for recording and maintaining relevant information relating to the young person/people under your care.

What qualifications do I need?

You will have one of the following:

City and Guilds Level 2 Health and Social Care: Core and City and Guilds Level 3 Health and Social Care: Practice (Children and Young People)
City and Guilds Level 4 Professional Practice in Health and Social Care
Degree in Social Work
What skills or qualities do I require?

We are looking for someone who is committed, compassionate and a team player. You will easily nurture relationships with young people and have a passion for providing them with a platform to achieve positive outcomes.

What experience do I require?

You will have recent child-based residential support worker experience

What registrations do I need to hold?

An Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service, but if you don’t have one, you will have to apply for a new one through Educate
A valid registration or be willing to register as a Residential Child Care Worker with SCW (Social Care Wales)
