QUALITY ENGINEER (AUTOMOTIVE): CHESTER / NORTH WALES AREA, SALARY CIRCA £35K – 4 MONTH INITIAL CONTRACT POTENTIAL FOR EXTENSION. LARGE MULTINATIONAL COMPANY UNDERGOING A PERIOD OF GROWTH AND POSITIVE DEVELOPMENT.
Our client is part of a huge multinational company with operations and offices all over the world, with an innovative and high technology range of products. As part of their continued growth they are presently seeking a Quality Engineer.
To be responsible for the organising of all rivet manufacturing PPAP as requested by the customer/customer centres/internal sales department
To measure parts as required by the customer supplied or internal drawings for the PPAP submission
To retrieve all required inspection documentation for PPAP submission
To be responsible for completing all requested PPAP’s through to PSW submission according AIAG and CSR’s where required
To ensure all signed PSW’s are received and are stored accordingly within the QMS software, Q-Pulse
To be responsible for an internal project which will see the PPAP process become automated within the current QMS software package, Q-Pulse supported by Ideagen
To aid in all other current QMS Q-Pulse administration tasks where required
To support the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer and Quality Engineers in any other Quality Assurance activities deemed necessary
EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years in an automotive quality engineering / quality assurance role – essential
Degree/HND in an engineering discipline – desired
Full understanding of IATF16949, ISO9001 and customer specific requirements – essential
Internal Auditor Trained to IATF16949/ISO9001/VDA6.3 – desired
Knowledge of Quality Management System software packages – desirable
Fully competent in standard Microsoft packages – essential
