QHSE Manager / Coordinator

Full Time Permanent

Located in Wrexham, we are currently working alongside a large waste management firm who are looking to appoint a QHSE Manager or Coordinator on a full time permanent basis.

Within the role of QHSE manager, You will have a passion for excellence in Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality with a good understanding of Agriculture. You will engage with Staff (at all levels), regulators, customers and suppliers to ensure the business activities are carried out in accordance with current business policies and legislation.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ experience as a Manager, and will also have significant experience in working on and around industrial/waste/agricultural sites or operations. A good knowledge of Environmental Legislation including waste to land is required for this role


* Working with the Directors and Operational Team to provide SHEQ compliance, advice, guidance with applicable legislation and industry best practice

* Responsible for maintaining and development of ISO Accredited QHSE systems and promoting good practice throughout the business

* Ensure comprehensive risk assessments are in place for all activities with significant hazards and foreseeable risks.

* Liaise with the Environment Agency to ensure compliance with Permit conditions

* Provide guidance and training on completion of RAMS documents and review as required.

* Report and advise on landbank availability and suitability

* Work with Operations to ensure continued access to landbank

* Provide support and advice to Agricultural Sales Teams

* Carrying out inductions, training, and toolbox talks

* Monitoring, delivery of internal and external audits, on-site inspections and reporting on SHEQ performance for business operations, office and field based

* Support the investigation of incidents, analyse data and present findings to the management team.

* Preparation and review of risk assessments and procedures

* Vendor review, audit, and inspections

* Preparation of reports in relation to performance against objectives, targets, and SHEQ performance, as well as supporting on associated communications

* Assist with the design and implementation of SHEQ initiatives

* Driving Licence C+E

* ISO Auditor
