The Role:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of an established and growing business based in Wrexham for a New Product Engineer.

As the successful New Product Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic, fast-paced team, and will be involved in the development of new products from research and concept stage through to full production.

Responsibilities:

* Carrying out up front cost-based evaluation and assessment of the manufacturing route prior to bidding.

* Developing process routes for new products based on identified opportunities within relevant markets.

* Evaluating and implementation of new process equipment to expand existing capabilities.

* Delivering on the full design process from brief through to support in manufacturing.

The Candidate

The successfully appointed New Product Engineer will have the following skills and abilities:

* Educated to degree standard (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline, Minimum HND qualified with 5 years+ experience in a relevant manufacturing environment (component manufacturing).

* Good manufacturing and quality assurance know how. Experience of batch and process manufacturing and mechanical/electrical component manufacturing.

* Good numeracy and literacy skill and preferably a basic knowledge of business finance and accounting.

* Experience in the use of CAD, preferably AutoCAD.

* Experience of MRP systems, preferably IFS.

* Excellent oral and written communication skills.

* High level of proficiency in MS Office.

* Persistent, energetic and enthusiastic in approach to working and achieving objectives.
