Position: Material Controller

Location: Holywell

Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am-5:00pm

Salary: £DOE Competitive

We are looking for a Material Coordinator based in Holywell to manage inventories and ensure that material resources are consistent with production schedules.

What will you be doing?

Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.

Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.

Achieve any stock reduction programmes and maintain agreed stock levels for all raw material inventories.

Coordinating with other departments regarding production goals, timelines, supplier payments, etc.

Liaising with various internal departments, suppliers, and distributors.

Ensuring materials meet specifications, quality standards, and are cost-efficient

Assigning the material to production rolling.

Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.

Skills that will help you in the role:

Educated to degree level or equivalent preferred.

Experience of working in a busy purchasing/materials department.

SAP experience would be advantageous

Good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

The ability to remain professional and maintain a calm demeanour under pressure.

Good negotiation skills and the ability to deal with all levels of personnel within external supplier


Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material management systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good team player, willing to make a positive contribution towards departmental as well as individual targets.
