Management Accountant:

Hybrid role

Are you an experienced Management Accountant who would like to work in the heart of the stunning Snowdonia National Park? Our client, a world-renowned outdoors adventure centre is recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to work alongside the Financial Director in this unique setting.

Role:

Working closely with the Finance Director, the core requirements of this role are maintaining accurate accounting records and producing timely financial performance reporting. The role will also interface strongly with all departments across the organisation making this a high profile role with an appreciation of the business as a whole.

Responsibilities:

ü Maintain accurate accounting records, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.

ü Produce monthly management accounts including commentary and variance analysis within reporting deadlines.

ü Develop additional financial performance reporting.

ü Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly.

ü Assist with budgets and forecasting.

ü Maintain a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.

ü Prepare and submit quarterly vat returns.

ü Maintain fixed asset register.

ü Assist with documenting accounting policies and procedures.

The Person:

ü Qualified accountant with a strong commercial acumen.

ü Proven accounting technical and analytical ability.

ü Excellent working knowledge of accounting systems: XERO would be an advantage.

ü Advanced level user of MS Excel with the ability to effectively manipulate large volumes of data.

ü Experience of partial exempt VAT returns.

ü Proven experience around Change, Quality and Analysis
