Humanities Teacher Contract Full Time

We are currently recruiting for a Humanities teacher for a secondary school based in Wrexham. The school commits itself to provide the best education it possibly can to a multitude of different students allowing them to achieve at the highest levels. As a Humanities teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Geography, History and Religious studies across key stage three. The school are looking for an individual who can hit the ground running in their subject specialism at GCSE. The successful candidate will be required to effectively manage their time with a balanced timetable.

As you will be joining an established team, you will be required to:

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP or Bachelor of Education
* Be an outstanding and innovative classroom practitioner who can lead and enthuse students
* Have a proven track record of impacting on student achievement and the development of the department
* Have excellent organisational and communication skills, with an eye for detail
* Exude a passion for learning and a driving ambition for every learner to progress
* Be registered or willing to register with the Education Workforce Council

Responsibilities

* Make sure lessons are planned at the right level of difficulty to match individual students, challenging the more able students and pushing them towards top grades
* To maintain excellent behaviour management and follow the school's policies
* Attending parents evenings, specific meetings with parents, as well as relaying behavioural issues to parents and carers when needed
