My client, an established manufacturer of composites for high reliability sectors, is looking to recruit a HSE Manager to join their successful and growing team based in across 2 sites (Wrexham and Isle of Man)

Reporting directly to the group QSHE Director, the successful candidate will support all aspects of both manufacturing facilities in the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly delivery of a safe working environment, alongside specific large and medium project work for improvement, site development and growth.

This is a very hands on, stand alone, responsible role holding HSE authority across site.

The successful candidate will spend time on the shop floor training, coaching, auditing, completing daily routine inspections and investigations, ensuring standards are improved upon and consistently maintained.

Key duties:

Provide guidance and support to the management team on best practice in relation to health, safety, and environmental matters.
Manage small to large scale projects, contractor management.
Aiding with the implementation and management of an integrated safety management systems for ISO18001 &14001.
Responsible for fire safety training and dealing with local authority to ensure HS.
Acts as the competent person for HS across the site, offering support and training, managing the risk process, and completing all other HS activities relating to Operational and support teams.
Report on health, safety, and environmental performance at site level and board level.
Engaging at all levels during customer and board meetings, an active member of the senior management team.
Lead the investigation process relating to incidents/accidents and compliance breaches.
Co-ordinate internal and external audits relating to safety and environmental standards, ensuring follow up actions are implemented.
Develop and drive health and wellbeing initiatives contributing to overall worker safety.
Drive the continuous improvement of employee health, safety, welfare and environmental issues through promotion and communication.
Develop and deliver internal health, safety, and environmental awareness training.Qualifications and Experience

Must be NEBOSH diploma qualified to be considered
Must have solid HSE Management experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally automotive or aerospace)
Previous experience of undertaking an integrated safety management system would be highly advantageous.
