HR Advisor – Wrexham

Salary: up to £34,000 depending on experience

Location: Wrexham (Hybrid working permitted)

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 8am – 4pm (or 9am – 5pm if preferred), Friday 8am – 2.30pm (or as early as 1pm in the summer!), with an option to work from home 2 days per week.

The Company:

We are delighted to be representing a successful, fast-paced business within the food manufacturing industry, who are seeking an enthusiastic HR Advisor to join their growing business. The business has strong moral and ethical values, whilst continuing to be forward-thinking and encourage new ideas. The HR Advisor will be paramount in supporting the development and engagement of existing employees, and supporting in processes when onboarding new colleagues alike.

Accountabilities of the HR Advisor may include:

*A true generalist HR position, supporting approx. 150 staff across 2 manufacturing sites
*Raise profile of HR throughout the Company to increase management buy-in and enhance motivation and performance
*Involvement in disciplinary/grievance investigations and conducting hearings
*Employee relations – EAP, benefits and retention
*Develop understanding and implementation of performance management process
*Monitoring probationary period for all new starters and liaising with line managers to ensure performance reviews are carried out in accordance with company procedures
*Ensuring staff details are correct for payroll, including reporting if there are any changes to hours, shift pattern etc
*Supporting with recruitment and onboarding processes
*Ensuring the use of agency staff is as seamless as possible, liaising with the agencies in relation to headcount, timesheets sign off, etc.
*Arrange and monitor training where necessary and maintain records
*Arrange H&S assessments where required
*Develop, monitor and audit appraisal process ensuring process completed correctly recording any training requirements identified
*Ensure all policies are updated in line with current legislation, update Handbook as required and distribute
*Any adhoc projects in line with business and departmental objectives as they arise

To be considered for the position:

*You will be a confident and enthusiastic HR Advisor with generalist experience including (but not limited to) – employment legislation, recruitment and onboarding, ER issues, training, L&D, responsibility for issues such as the appointment and dismissal of staff, disciplinary procedures, redundancy, attending formal hearings etc.
*Ideally you will come from a food manufacturing/ general manufacturing/packing/FMCG background
*You will ideally be CIPD Level 3 accredited or working towards it
