The Salary on offer for the Graduate Embedded Software Engineer is £20,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.
As the Graduate Embedded Software Engineer you will have the benefit of having an exciting induction training program and coordinated career and technical development scheme as well as having the opportunity to further advance your engineering skills within an inspiring, thriving, and brilliant engineering professional team. The Graduate Embedded Software Engineer is projected to deliver the requirements of the Research & Development division for projects and duties, mainly in the design and development of embedded software and associated hardware.
Graduate Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
1-3 years minimum industry experience
Experience of defining, architect, design, develop, document and test embedded software
Embedded Software Programming in C, C++
Knowledge/experience of C#, Linux & Python
Experience with Integrated Development Environment (IDEs) such as: Eclipse, Keil, IAR, Visual Studio & VS-Code, PyCharm
Experience with common bus protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, RS232/485, etc
Real Time Operating Systems (FreeRTOS, Yocto, Embedded Linux, QNX, VxWorks or similar)
Good analytical, problem solving and team-work skills
Highly desirable nice to have skills:
Experiences of modern source code control systems, such as Git, SVN, JIRA or similar
ARM Cortex-M Microcontrollers
Hardware Development – Electronics Design (analogue/digital), FPGAs, PCB Design
Industry experience – Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Aerospace, Defence
