LEAD INFORMATION
Job Title – Finishing Operative
Site location – Wrexham Industrial Estate
Responsible to – Fabrication Supervisor
Responsible for – Ensuring the timely completion of the work responsible for adhering to site safety standards at all times
Client brief
Our client is a global supplier of complex machined investment castings, in aluminium, steel, and vacuum melted super alloys supporting a multitude of industries with a large variety of client specific machined products
KEY INFORMATION
Reason for vacancy – Increased demand
Contract – Temp to perm
Basic pay – £10.29ph
Shifts – 8am – 4.30pm Mon – Thurs, Fridays 8am – 1.30pm (37.5 hour week)
Breaks – 30 min lunch (unpaid), early and late 10-minute break (x2 both paid)
Overtime – Regular overtime available once trained at basic rate whilst agency
Holidays – Accrual (25 days + Bank Holidays once permanent)

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role
Our client is looking for Finishing Operatives to join their busy team in Wrexham Industrial Estate on temporary to permanent contracts. As a Finishing Operative your responsibilities are as follows –
· Identifying and removing imperfections from castings
· Using calibrated measuring equipment
· Using bandsaws, water blasters and sand blasters as part of the Finishing process.
· General and visual inspection
· Reading and understanding specifications and standards
· General and cosmetic tidy up of castings using air powered and electric tools
· General duties within the Finishing Department.
Key Skills Required
· Previous experience within a production environment would be desirable but full training will be given, experience within a manufacturing background would be highly preferred however not essential.
· Excellent attendance and time keeping.
· A willingness to learn new skills.
· Dedicated and motivated individual.
· A loyal and likeable character who shows honesty and integrity
