Working 30 hours per week with the choice to work hours over 4 or 5 days, and the option to work from home 1 day per week.
Our Organisation
Tyddyn Môn is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity. We have been providing support to adults with learning disabilities for over 30 years. We offer person centred care and support at seven supported living settings on Anglesey and provide work-based training for adults with learning disabilities at our charity farm. We also run several businesses as part of our trading company including a popular pancake house, textile recycling business and a holiday let at our charity farm.

The Role – Finance Manager
In this newly created position, you’ll work closely with the Chief Executive Officer as you drive the financial operations of our charity forward, advising on and supporting with all financial matters. You will also prepare regular reports for the Board of Trustees and be involved in preparing the annual reports.
You will prepare costs for all areas of our care and support services, and quotes for tenders, grants, and varying funding streams. You will also prepare budgets for charity services and businesses, financial forecasts, oversee financial controls, and monitor income and expenditure and cash flow, as well as audit bank reconciliation and credit card purchases, and manage the relationship with the bank.
Furthermore, you will arrange valuations on charity owned properties, manage any property purchases and sales, and prepare and maintain the asset register and report on company resources.
Our organisation is also moving our charity accounts from Sage to the Xero accounting software and you will manage this transition.
You will support, train, and supervise our Finance Assistant, and develop financial procedures and policies. You will ensure systems, processes and controls are reviewed regularly, and assist the CEO in improving and monitoring the quality management systems, achieving accreditation to ISO 9001:2015 standard and monitoring the policy renewal schedule.
The Package
* Option to work from home up to 1 day per week, combined with working from your own office located at our charity farm on Anglesey (with animals right on your doorstep!)
* Permanent contract, working 30 hours per week with the choice to work over 4 or 5 days within Monday to Friday
* Salary in the region of £32,000 to £38,000 (pro rata based on 37 hours per week, equivalent to an hourly rate of approximately £16.63 to £19.75 per hour), potentially negotiable for a highly experienced candidate
* 30 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
* Enhanced sick pay after one years’ service, rising to 9 weeks at full pay and 2 weeks at half pay after 6 years’ service
* DBS check paid for by the charity

Our Requirements – Finance Manager
* Proven experience gained in a similar finance role, including preparing annual budgets, financial quotations and costs and monthly management accounts
* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting systems such as Sage and/or Xero
* The ability to think strategically, creatively, and systematically and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a range of audiences at various levels.
Although not essential, a recognised accountancy qualification, perhaps C.A., ACCA, or CIPFA, as well as the ability to communicate in Welsh, would be advantageous.
Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
