An amazing opportunity to join one of the UK’s leading training providers as an Employability Advisor, who as part of the DWP Restart Programme, will support people largely affected by the pandemic back into work as part of the government’s ‘Plan for Jobs’ initiative.
As a Customer Advisor, you will complete regular engagement with Participants via phone/video conferencing, with some face-to-face time expected. You will track Participant progress in work and ensure all Participant records are always accurate and up to date. You will complete 1:1 mentoring with Participants to motivate and support them whilst in work, identifying any barriers to sustaining employment and supporting them to remove them. This may include referring Participants to local support services or additional career progression activities/learning. You will identify customers who have/are at risk of falling out of work and refer them for urgent support from relevant colleagues.
LOCATION: Flint Wales
Employer Advisors must have:
·Qualification in providing Information Advice and Guidance at Level 3/4
·Excellent communication skills,
·written and verbal, including the ability to build rapport with a wide range of Participants over the phone.
·Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiating skills.
·Ability to engage and motivate clients from a range of backgrounds, demonstrating clear empathy and credibility.
·Ability to recognise individual needs and complex barriers to sustained employment, including when to escalate and seek specialist guidance.
·Ability to work on own initiative and be accountable for own actions.
·Well-developed IT skills, including an understanding of computerised Management Information Systems, spreadsheets, diary management, email, Excel, Word, and Case Management/CRM applications.
·Excellent planning and organisation skills.
·Knowledge of what employers and employees require and be able to direct Participants accordingly.
·Experience in working with a wide range of people, all with differing needs and individual aspirations.
·Knowledge of government-funded programmes
·Experience of working with the unemployed/recently employed.
·Experience within an employability-related field, e.g., careers advice, recruitment, job coaching.
·Previous experience in a similar fast-paced customer-focused environment.
