Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services – Permanent – North West / Cheshire – £40-55k + 25 days holiday

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a North West based organisation. Electrical Design Engineers who’ve designed systems which include LV (typically 230Vac and 400Vac), building services, lighting, security and control systems will be well suited.

Candidates must hold a British passport as you’ll be put through security clearance.

Key aspects of the Electrical Design Engineer role include –

* BS7671 IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition – essential requirement

* Building Services or industrial installation experience (lighting, fire alarms & PA systems) – essential requirement

* Working knowledge of Low Voltage (typically 230Vac and 400Vac) design principles, regulations and standards

* City & Guilds 2396 Design, Erection and Verification – Desirable

* Experience in EC&I installation is beneficial including containment, cabling and distribution systems

* Production of specification and commissioning documentation

* Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for producing equipment layouts, schematic diagrams, cable routing diagrams and construction drawings.

* The successful Electrical Design Engineer will be educated to at least HNC/HND level in an Electrical Engineering discipline.

* Existing/current security clearance would be ideal – not essential

The office is commutable from the following places – Northwich, Runcorn, Daresbury, Ellesmere Port, Chester, Wrexham, Deeside and Birkenhead
