2BM Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with our client a Global Engineering Manufacturing company with an opportunity in Deeside for a Continuous Improvement Engineer.
Job Details:
As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be responsible for identifying and facilitating opportunities for improvement eliminating waste and simplifying the companies value stream. Applying Lean principles using techniques such as Kaizen, Kanban, 5S, 5Whys to implement and sustain improvement activities. You will plan, organise, and schedule improvement projects and capex proposals to run alongside production whilst mentoring production teams to promote and instil Lean Philosophy and lasting improvement.
We are looking for a candidate with the following skills / qualifications / attributes:
Applicants should ideally be educated to degree or HND/HNC standard within relevant subjects. You will be certified Green Belt or equivalent in Lean Six Sigma and have a successful track record of operational change and improvements using Lean Six Sigma. You will be an excellent communicator that can train and coach production staff in lean tools and techniques. You must have experience of working as a CI Engineer and Lean Implementation. 6 Sigma, 5s and SMED. You will also have experience of managing projects and producing CAPEX submissions and demonstrate expertise relating to continuous improvement and H&S within manufacturing. Candidates must be career driven, enthusiastic and have the skills required to solve problems and multitask.
Your Pay & Benefits:
CI Engineer salary pays between £38,000 – £40,000 per annum (negotiable depending on skills and experience, plus annual bonus, and an excellent benefits package. This is a permanent opportunity working Monday to Friday on a fulltime basis 37.5 hours per week. You will receive 33 days holiday (inc 8 bank holidays), Contributory pension, Healthcare & Parking.
