Building Inspector Full Time Permanent

A national Building Control and Warranty Provider are seeking a home-based Building Inspector on a permanent basis to cover their Chester region. Applicants with existing Building Control or Warranty Inspector experience would be preferred. Starting salary of up to £45,000.

The role would focus on the warranty and building control inspection of residential developments from private builds to larger developments.

The role would require coverage of Wrexham up to Heswall, Tarporley and Derwin broadly speaking, with home-based report writing.

As a Building Inspector, your role will involve the following:

Site inspections and surveys on projects that are either completed or under construction
Ensuring work is completed to a standard which complies with current regulations, technical manuals, and health and safety
Completing reports and documentation based on site findings
Frequent liaison with peers and management on technical mattersThe successful Building Inspector will meet the following criteria:

Previous role experience as a Building Control Surveyor / Warranty Surveyor / Building Surveyor is essential
Associate/full member inspector status of RICS/CABE/CIOB/ICWCI desirable
Degree/ NVQ Level 6 equivalent qualification in construction related discipline
Understanding of general insurance principles and defect diagnosis
Technical inspection knowledge throughout the build process
In depth knowledge of relevant regulations and quality standards
Full UK driving licenceBenefits:
